This camp ground is alright. I have stayed at better ones in the area however if you want to camp close to Baltimore this place will do. I stayed around Halloween. There were some things to do but no Haunted house just a small Halloween party. Also they had Hot Air Ballon rides which seemed like it would be awesome but the Ballon only goes up about 30 Feet and only for about two minutes. Also the staff can be a little short tempered with guests. You have to get buzzed into the park at the front gate. The Staff don't seem to enjoy having to let you enter the campground.
Actually a very loud place. They try to accommodate working folks who travel in their RVs but the locals use this place as a weekend getaway to let their screaming children run rampant from Thursday evening to Sunday evening. Good luck if you work night shift and attempt to rest during daylight. Never had any significant issues with campground at all otherwise. Staff appears standoffish, BUT are actually very friendly and helpful. In a nutshell, only all season campground for 50 mile radius, nuff said.
Campground was pretty empty for the end of October. The campers that were present typically consisted of those who were transient, just passing through town and we're very nice. The air up on the mountain top is very crisp but you have to be mindful that it is fall and with fall comes acorns. They will hit the top of your camper hard enough to wake you out of your sleep so be mindful
Decent place. nice guide carts get you to your spot. Only beef is other camper noise chopping wood
Very nice staff, everything is clean. The grounds and facilities are well maintained and there is plenty to do around here.
All things being equal this place is just okay. It's not bad and you can have a good time here but there are much better places just a little further away.
As usual the folks and staff were second to none and I enjoy talking to them every single time I go up. Not sure if they're Southern Baptists or Evangelical but never the last always awesome conversation, and they're willing to go out of their way to help you out with a wonderful Godly spirit. I really like these folks
6 weeks after our stay we did finally receive our refund. Libby and her staff we very nice and I would still recommend staying if you're in the area.
It's been over a month since our stay and we have not received the key deposit back. My husband and I have both called and the staff keeps telling us "it's in the mail, just look for it." Just something people should be aware of if they need to leave before they open.
