There are no services available, unless that outhouse is still there. Obviously, use it at your own risk. However, services are not the reason to fly into Woodbine. It is a beautiful place. When you listen hard you can still hear the sounds of jumpers living life on the edge. Visit this place for the silence and solitude and the experience of grass runways.

The most exciting and fun filled years of my life were spent at Woodbine Airport, skydiving in the mid to late 70's. The grass runway, the pea gravel for landing in when shooting accuracy and of course, the outhouse. One night a member of our group got a bit crazy and put six .41 caliber holes in that outhouse. A few seconds later someone quietly asked, "No one is in there, right?" We had to draw straws to see who was to go look inside. Tents, vans, campfires, star-filled night skies and wonderful friends were our world. Life was lived to its fullest as life vs'd death with the wonderful smell of avgas in the air and the sounds of full power takeoffs. The sky was filled with flying bodies every weekend. The view from altitude was great on low humidity days, the air was so crisp and clean above 10.5 AGL. Of course, AGL is all skydivers concern themselves with.

Tremendous pilot and airfield owner - respected and responsible. Thanks for keeping general aviation alive!

Just follow I70 west out of Baltimore, then right onto MD 97 north. Turn left at the cemetery and watch to your 10 o'clock position for the runway. Not much traffic to worry about and you will not need your radio, but give a shout anyway just in case someone is listening and can advise you of wind conditions.
